Quick Start Guide: Data Entry
Enter New Record
·         Select the Form Data Entry tab.
·         Once tab is selected, select the form that you would like to enter data for (figure 1).
·         Click blue ‘new record’ button (figure 1). This readies the system for a new record.

·         Begin entering data in the designated controls (figure 2).

·         As data is entered into the system it is automatically saved to the system. There is no need to press a save button.
 
Edit Record
·         Select the Form Data Entry tab.
·         Once tab is selected select the form that you would like to edit data for (figure 1).
·         Below the form where you enter the data click the Retrieve Record button (figure 3). This will cause a list of all records entered for a particular form to show up in a grid view (figure 4).

·         Double click on record that you would like to edit (figure 4). This will populate the controls of the form which will now allow you to edit that particular record (figure 5).

·         The selected record will now be displayed in the light blue area with its associated form (figure 5). The Previous and Next Record buttons will allow you to navigate through the forms records (figure 5).

Delete Record
·         Once record is selected, as previously outlined (figure 4), click the delete button as shown above (figure 5). This will cause the record to be permanently deleted from the database.
 
Record Locking
·         Once a record is selected, as previously outlined (figure 4), click the lock record button (figure 5). This will lock down that particular record making it un-editable by all users.
·         Only the user who has locked the record can unlock it
